FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Straight answers.
The things you should know before we start. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly.
01What if I don’t know exactly what I need?
That’s what the first conversation is for. Tell us what isn’t working, what your team works around, or what you wish you could do. We’ll ask the right questions and help turn it into a clear next step.
02Do you work on both focused projects and larger platforms?
Yes. The starting point might be one recurring problem or a system that needs to connect an entire operation. We define the right scope around the business need, the existing environment, and what success looks like.
03Can you work with the software we already use?
Absolutely. We can connect existing systems, fill the gaps, or replace a tool that no longer fits. During discovery, we look at the available integrations, data, and constraints before recommending an approach.
04If you host it, what do we own?
Your domain stays registered to your business, and your business data and the content you provide stay yours. The custom code and designs we create for you become yours once they’re paid for, even while we keep hosting them. Our own reusable tools stay ours, with a permanent license for you to use them as part of your project, and third-party software keeps its own licenses. Your client agreement sets the exact terms.
05How do you price a project?
For a defined project, we agree the scope and price before work begins. Payment can follow agreed milestones or a monthly schedule. For ongoing development and care, we agree a monthly scope or capacity, priorities, and what is included. Changes are discussed before additional work starts.
06How long does it take?
The timeline follows the scope. A focused integration has a different path from a platform serving multiple teams. We define milestones, dependencies, and a delivery plan in the proposal, then keep you close to the work as it develops.
07Do you use AI?
Where it earns its place. Document analysis, internal knowledge, decision support, and contextual automation can benefit from AI. A straightforward workflow may need a straightforward solution. We choose around the result you need.
08How do you handle sensitive business information?
We discuss the data, users, permissions, and operational requirements as part of the scope. Access control, data handling, third-party services, and any specific compliance obligations belong in the design and the agreement from the start.
09What happens after launch?
Launch comes with a support period to fix anything that doesn’t work as agreed. After that, we keep hosting and looking after it under a care plan: monitoring, backups, security updates, and a set amount of small changes each month, with anything bigger quoted before work starts. Your agreement spells out what your plan covers and who pays the hosting provider. Prefer your own hosting? We set it up there instead, with documentation for whoever runs it.
10Do we have to complete the guided intake?
No guided intake is required. The short project inquiry asks for your name, your email, and the biggest challenge you’re trying to solve. Two more questions are optional. Or email us directly. We can talk through the rest together.
